Over 13,678 miles traveled overland via various Hertz rentals!
June: After sailing from La Paz and relaxing in the northern Sea of Cortez, we took down the jib, dodger/bimini and Michael sewed covers for the Raymarine instruments, the binnacle and all the hatches. We stored canned and dry food low in the boat to keep it as cool as possible. We prepared Night Flight for a HOT, HOT (it was 113 degrees when we departed San Carlos) summer in Marina San Carlos, Mexico. We said our goodbyes to fellow cruisers promising to reunite come October/November.
June 18 with the rental car packed tight, we drove from San Carlos to Tucson. We have a favorite inn that is dog friendly and Boris enjoyed his treats from the front desk at the Windmill Suites Inn. We departed the next day headed for Las Vegas where we joined up with the Poiry clan to celebrate my aunt Connie and uncle KennyÕs 70th wedding anniversary. My cousins orchestrated a great party and it was wonderful to spend time with the family.
