Elisa is spending her last day with us exploring Hope Town today. We had to anchor outside Marsh harbor since our deep draft can't make it in there and Ann and I elected to stay with the boat in the 20-25 knot winds we're getting today and tomorrow. The spade has not been the automatic drop, yank, and forget it situation it was in San Francisco and Mexico. There is more hard sand and grass here so it has to work its way into the hard packed bottom. So far, it has held in everything we've encountered but one has to carefully set it and I'm not nearly as confident as I was on the west coast. Anyway, while Ann stayed with the boat, I went in to town, dropped off Elisa for the ferry over to Hope Town and got some baked goods, located a chart we need to continue to Eleuthera, and will pick up some Conch tomorrow for dinner. We've had excellent weather over the past week after we hung out at a marina for a couple days when Elisa initially arrived to allow a front with thunderstorms to pass.
