Visiting Crew Report - by Elisa Williams
Greetings! It's great to be back aboard Night Flight with Ann, Michael and Boris, their canine crew member. It's my first time in the Bahamas so I thought I'd write up my impressions. You can see photos from the trip at www.flickr.com\photos\sfelisaw
Arriving in the Bahamas
A certain amount of hassle is inherent to all travel. Getting from Alameda to the good ship Night Flight involved a BART train, three airplanes, a taxi and a ferry. Bleary eyed from the red eye flight and battered from the stress of the tight connections, I dragged my bag out of the taxi and prepared myself mentally for the last leg of my trip. Was I at the right place to catch the ferry? When did the ferry go? Did I need to buy a ticket ahead of time? I asked someone on the dock and confirmed that the ferry was arriving in an hour, a few feet from where I was standing and tickets were to be bought onboard. Chill out, Elisa, youÕre almost there. There was no seating on the ferry dock, but I spotted an open air bar upstairs from where I was standing. Curly Tails |
