Feb. 19 - High winds and exciting times

We're still sitting (actually sailing about) but still attached securely to a mooring off the Exuma Land and Sea Park headquarters. We last reported that we were going to do a little sightseeing Saturday after a rolly night Friday and we did. Boris got a romp on the beach and Annie and I attended the weekly evening beach party here and made a few friends. It was a beautiful evening as we dinghied back to the boat and tied everything down for what was promised as the worst weather of the season.

They were right. The beautiful night degraded to force 5 winds by midnight and continued to build overnight. We have now watched wave tops being blown off in force 9 winds as a squall line passed through early afternoon and had force 8 winds most of rest of the day. We have been down to force 7 winds the last couple hours and the prediction is that they will diminish slowly through the night. Listening to the VHF radio has been exciting too. One 54 foot fisherman had the anchor line part just North of us but a friend managed to
