February 17, 2007 Wardrick Wells, Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park
We remain on mooring E-4 the outermost mooring of the fleet as a result of our 7Õ2Ó draft. Finally got Boris to the beach this afternoon. Wonderful beach with natural and man-made rock sculptures. Boris had a great time kicking up the sand and racing up and down the beach. We met cruisers from three trawlers that are anchored in the well protected north mooring field. Unfortunately no one is leaving their area and we remain on the waiting list to get in. Attended the cruisers ÒHappy HourÓ on the beach in the south anchorage. It was a lovely dinghy ride with no wind, lots of good food and even a camp fire on the beach. There were probably twenty boats represented and each boat had the opportunity to do a quick introduction. Spent a great deal of time discussing sailing with Osprey (Catalina 34). Susie and Bill spend time in PA, NC and down here. They shared a lot of information on how to get up to New Bern recommending skipping GA entirely since the Army Corps of Engineers no longer does any dredging of the ICW. We
