March 1, 2007 Emerald Bay, Great Exuma
Ah, we are in paradise. We are now docked at the Marina at Emerald Bay, a Four Seasons development. We will definitely stay here thru Monday since we have free laundry facilities, floating docks (never seen in the Bahamas), use of the Four SeasonÕs condo infinity pool overlooking a perfect beach, free Wi-Fi in the cruisers lounge outfitted in Tommy Bahama furnishings, a shuttle to a new grocery and liquor store and heavenly weather. And the price is right at $.75 per foot. ÊI could stay here forever and Boris loves all of the attention he is getting. Ê
Watching CNN on the TV thinking we may never return with the severe weather and the disastrous stock market.
March 2, 2007 Marina at Emerald Bay
Laundry DayÉ.everyone has the same idea. I spoke with some of the other cruisers and the laundry room has been filled with sailors since 4:30AM. I am in line and should have a machine within the next hour. The laundry provides a great place to meet new people.
March 3, 2007 Georgetown
We have found the bus to Georgetown. Bus departs at the nearby shopping center at noon everyday except Sunday. We arrive |
