February 19 Ð February 21
Tuesday, February 19 we moved away from the dock and anchored off of the City Marina. Watched a very young dolphin learning to swim. His diving skills need a lot of work as he would dive; the tail came out of the water, tossed about and then fell over to one side. Mom has a lot of teaching to do. Wednesday we headed out the inlet to find very calm seas and light winds. Spotted the returning shuttle followed by a chase plane that seemed to be checking out the shuttleÕs exterior. Both of them were really moving. The evening watch brought the partial eclipse that was gorgeous; just as predicted the moon appeared orange in appearance. We arrived at the Fernandina entrance at dawn and motored in ready for a good dayÕs rest; Night Flight is now resting on a mooring ball off the city docks.
