May 9 St. Augustine with Don and Diana
We spent a wonderful afternoon with our former Sea View Island, NJ neighbors, who we have not seen in 22 years. After lunching at the A1A Brewery we drove out to their home on the ocean to continue our reminiscing and learning about the St. Augustine area. One of the greatest enjoyments of cruising is running into friends in the most unlikely spots and then having the time to spend with them.
May 11 Hurricane PattyÕs
Just got back from taking the dinghy up the Sebastian River that is 3.5 miles from anchored Night Flight. We tied up at the marina that is a short walk from the Winn Dixie, West Marine, Sears, did our shopping, and then came back and had a great lunch at Hurricane Patty's - fresh grouper sandwich that was to die for. Got back to Night Flight just in time to see the Space Shuttle take off. We had a lot of clouds so we saw the trail and a glistening shuttle rising into the sky. Wasn't nearly as spectacular as the night launch that we saw last month.
