We're off to Baja and places south! Night Flight was finally prepped and ready to go on Sunday - Actually, not everything was done - but hey, who cares? With us on the first leg was our friend, David Morgan from South Bend,and Elisa Williams from the Bay area. We went to Sausalito on Sunday so we could be closer to the Golden Gate Bridge for our get away Monday morning. We went under the bridge around 9:00 on slack tide, and headed south for Santa Cruz. The weather was very good-with light winds and calm seas. In fact, the wind was on our nose most of the day, so we just motored along-arriving in Santa Cruz around 7:00pm. The plan is to leave here around 3:00pm this afternoon for an overnight trip to Morro Bay - about an 18 hr. trip - hopefully we'll have a chance to get some sails up! |
