For those of you sailing south we can't say enough about the wonderful hospitality afforded by the yacht clubs we have been visiting.
Santa Barbara Yacht Club Ð 90' guest dock. Great lunch at the club on the deck with a breathtaking view of Santa Barbara Channel. What isn't beautiful about Santa Barbara? Twenty-five cent bus service that runs downtown. O'Malley's bar great place to watch ND football. The best value in town is ice cream at Longs Drugstore.
Kings Harbor Yacht Club, Redondo Beach Ð great bar and club. Guest docks right in front of the club. Blue Water Grill along with many other outstanding restaurants within walking distance.
Balboa Yacht Club, Newport Beach Ð mooring balls available. Walking distance to shopping area with great Java House. Just fun to motor around the harbor and admire the amazing homes and yachts.
Dana Point Yacht Club Ð 75' guest dock. Wonderful grill that is very reasonably priced. Even accepted delivery of a replacement phone for Michael.
Southwestern Yacht Club, San Diego Ð 90' guest dock side tie. Friday night dinner on the deck with live music, dancing and a full moon. Doesn't get much better.
