Baja Ha Ha!

This report was sent to me via NightFlight's SSB radio-as they are now into their second day of the Ha Ha, and internet and phone connections will be sparse over the next 10-12 days. However, from this report, all seems to be well. -David

11.1.05

The rally started yesterday(Monday)at 11:00 AM as planned and we had pretty good winds. It was blowing around 20kts(That's good) and the boat was going 8.1kts(That's good too!). But after the sun went down so did the wind. We turned on the engine around 8:00pm. We had some slop left from the good winds through the night and everyone was tired. Annie went to bed right after putting together a hearty stew for us and slept for about 10 hours. I took the watch until 11:30 and David Foy took the 11:30pm to 5:30 am watch. The sky was clear and the moon was not in the sky. So the stars were excellent. The Milky Way was spectacular. I took the early morning watch until Annie woke up around 9:00. The ocean is a lake today. No wind! Some other boats on the radio have reported seeing whales. We expect to
