| We arrived in Mazatlan 15 November, around 4:30PM. The sail from Cabo was light wind to no wind. Seas were lumpy until around midnight when they calmed down as the wind died. Night Flight is berthed at Marina Mazatlan along with many other cruisers. Kings Quest berthed in Marina El Cid located next to the hotels. This is quite a cruisers paradise with frequent truck deliveries of fresh fruits/vegetables, shrimp, water and beer. There is even laundry pick up every day Ð you put the laundry bag at the office; it is picked up at 8:00AM and delivered back at 4:30PM. All means of transportation will be via local bus which stops near the marina. We were told we could bicycle to the closest Gigante's grocery and produce stand about 1.5 miles from here. Pretty much all such trips will take place in the AM since it is very warm/HOT here. We are getting ready to put up the Shadetree awning to keep us cool. |
